Whole Body Cryotherapy
About this service: Cryotherapy is the use of cold temperatures in medical therapy. It is a 3-minute treatment using liquid nitrogen mist on the body’s surface which enhances positive effects on health and wellness, sports recovery, pain management and, even, beauty.
- First, you fill out a consultation form to ensure any medical problems are non-problematic for the treatment.
- After, your consultant explains how the treatment works and leaves the room while you undress to your comfort level.
- Next, you step inside the machine and your consultant closes the door and turns the machine on.
- Maximum time in the machine is 3 minutes, however, it can be less if you’re feeling uncomfortable.
- To finish, you exit the machine and dress and your consultant discusses follow-up treatments, if necessary.
- If you have never heard of cryotherapy, let the experts at LondonCryo help you chill out.
Good to know: Actual treatment time is a maximum 3 minutes for health and safety reasons. The rest of the appointment time will be the consultation time and changing clothes.
Safety Instructions for whole body cryotherapy:
- You must wear DRY cotton or wool socks, DRY cotton or wool gloves, and DRY underwear (men), to avoid chilblain. You must wear DRY protective shoes.
- Treatments are limited to a maximum of 3 minutes per session. It is recommended that each client start with ninety-seconds, to determine cold tolerance. Overexposure to the cold temperatures may cause chilblain;
- During treatment, you must avoid inhaling the nitrogen fumes (single person sauna)
- You must have DRY skin without perspiration or recent application of lotions and moisturizers.
- You may end the procedure at any time if you experience any problems or anxiety;
- Abnormal skin sensitivity to cold may be caused by certain foods, cosmetics, or medication, including but not limited to the following: Tranquilizers, High blood pressure medication;
- A person who is less than (18) years of age may only use whole body cryotherapy with signed parental consent;
- You must take off all jewelry to avoid chilblains.
- You must be in visual contact with the operating staff during the all treatment procedure.
- You must follow all instructions on the use of the cryogenic device.
Restrictions and contraindications to using whole body cryotherapy:
You should NOT use whole body cryotherapy if you have any of the following conditions: Pregnancy, Hypertension (BP> 180/100), acute or recent myocardial infarction, unstable angina pectoris, arrhythmia, symptomatic cardiovascular disease, cardiac pacemaker, peripheral arterial occlusive disease, asthma, venous thrombosis, acute or recent cerebrovascular accident, uncontrolled seizures, Raynaud’s Syndrome, fever, tumor disease, symptomatic lung disorders, bleeding disorders, severe anaemia, infection, claustrophobia, cold allergy, age less than 18 years (parental consent to treatment needed), acute kidney and urinary tract diseases.
Risks of whole body cryotherapy:
Fluctuations in blood pressure due to peripheral vasoconstriction, systolic blood pressure may briefly increase by up to 10 points during treatment. This effect should reverse after the end of the procedure, as peripheral circulation returns to normal), allergic reaction to extreme cold (rare), claustrophobia, anxiety, temporary redness of the skin, chill blain (rare).

Cryoskin Slimming
If you’re looking to lose fat on your stomach, thighs, arms or back this is the solution for you. CryoSlimming uses thermoelectric cooling to freeze fat, causing the cell death of subcutaneous fat tissue without damage to the overlying skin. The 30-minute treatment begins with 2 minutes of heat at 40 degrees Celsius, followed by 28 minutes of cold at -8 degrees Celsius, divided evenly across the treated areas. The destroyed cells then pass naturally through your body’s lymphatic system over the next two weeks. (Following up with activities like exercise and sauna are advised to help this process.)
All treatments are safe, painless alternatives to traditional surgical and body sculpting procedures. In a sample of 100 individuals who underwent the treatment, the average fat loss in the treated area was 38%. Had an amazing first experience of the infrared sauna yesterday. The venue is ideally located and the premises ultra clean and comfortable. Absolutely everything was provided for an enjoyable moment : fluffy towels, water with electrolytes, Bluetooth speaker to put your favourite tune or podcast in the sauna… there is a choice of lights depending on the mood and objective you want to achieve. The session is well timed and very pleasant.
Amazing staff to welcome and guide me throughout, super accommodating, with special kudos to Emma who’s been wonderful with helping me.
I felt great after the session, muscles relaxed, toxins flushed and a healthy glow to show for it. 100% recommend !

Had a lymphatic drainage massage with Julia today and just WOW. I’ve had a few massages in my time and this was by far one of the best. I’m not someone who normally switches off but that happened today. Julia also provided some helpful advice at the end on stretches to improve posture and make future massages more beneficial. For the price, venue and professionalism of the therapist, I wouldn’t recommend this place for a facial. Therapist was Ok, I did not feel comfortable when she kept emphasising on my problematic skin. Well that’s why I came for a facial, not to be criticised. Therapist did not ask for any allergies and uncomfortable spots, she just slapped on random creams without letting me know what were they. Facial was only 45 MINUTES, not as advertised. WOULD NOT recommend.

I have had 2 sessions the Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy so far with plans to continue and it has been great. I immediately felt a sense of calm and left feeling energised and clearer minded. Emma has been very friendly, keen to explain each step of the process and make the experience as comfortable as possible. The other members of staff I have met including Jurga have also been wonderful, attentive and engaging.

I went to the London Cryo in the City, it is in an excellent location close to Liverpool Street on a quiet side street and I was able to walk there from work. It was my first infra red sauna and I had a lovely warm professional welcome from the lady working there. The infra red room was cool, you have a shower, shampoo and conditioner, jug of water and a sachet of electrolytes a nice little touch. You can also connect music or podcast to the speakers, I chose to sit in silence to have a nice rest after working. I felt so good after the session and can’t wait to go again! I have heard a lot about the benefits of infra red and I could really feel it, I can’t wait to go back. 🙂

Had such an amazing experience at LondonCryo City, I went for a Body Balancer session, which was one of the most relaxing experiences I have ever had, Emma was incredible, so kind and friendly, and made me feel super welcome. Loved the place so much I came back the following day and took advantage of the Chill Tuesday offer and had a 20 minute compression therapy session with the NormaTech boots (which really works those legs) I was assisted by Jurga who talked through the boots and was again super accommodating and kind, I deal with water retention quite badly in the legs and I feel this is going to be my new go to! Then followed by a Whole Body Cryotherapy, when I tell you I was scared to try Cryotherapy I was haha but Emma once again made me feel very at ease and comfortable, again I am now obsessed!! Honestly, would be here every day if I could.

Super effective treatment, I did it before a long haul flight to prevent swelling as my legs can be capricious ! I also got the chance to discover red light therapy which helped alleviate some nasty frozen neck symptoms. I was very well looked after. Very professional and friendly team!

Had a great experience at London Cryo in the City.
Infrared sauna, compression chamber were really great.
The Cryo chamber decided to play up while I was there but Jurga could not have done any more for me and organised for me to have another session as well as a complimentary infrared sauna.
The next time I was in, there was a small issue on my part, but once again Jurga was exceptional in letting me come back another day to finally experience the Cryo as well as throwing in a little blue light facial!
The service I have received to date as been second to none and I will definitely be a regular visitor!

I went to the London Cryo in the City, it is in an excellent clinic with big variety of selfcare service & 5 star customer service.
The place is full of good vibes and energy.
It was my first Leg Compression Therapy session and Emma was an absolute amazing professional & person and she made my first experience unforgettable.

Went for a infrared ligh Sauna which I absolutely loved! The room is perfect to leave your stuff, have a shower and change after. Also you can pick up the colour of light that you want to use and they offer a sachet of vitamins and electrolytes to drink with your water after the session. Really good stuff, I want definetly to go back as I felt amazing and even try other treat. I was received by Emma who patiently explained everything and show us around. Thanks!

I had a facial lymphatic drainage massage with Giulia on Thursday and she was absolutely amazing. The treatment was very relaxing and effective. I really recommend it 10 stars if possible 😘

Brilliant experience. Was so well looked after from booking to leaving – what a great team (thank you Gloria and Emma!). The numbers don’t lie either. My recovery was phenomenal the day after my cryo treatment. Will be back. Lots!

3rd sessions today and absolutely love it! Great staffs here at London Cryo I am started to feel the difference with my muscle tightness and injury so I will continue once a week.

It is a very relaxing place and the environment as well. They have infrared sauna which is removing all the toxins from the body. They provide towels and of course you can have a nice shower after the relaxing sauna!!!
They have also face mask system which rejuvenates your skin and giving a nice feeling in your face.

Was looking for infrared sauna in London & London Cryo came up. I visited it & also brought a friend back for the experience. We enjoyed the facilities very much. Helpful staff & the private sauna room with shower is perfect. I would definitely visit again.

Really nice experience. I had this treatment for the first time and didn’t know what to expect. I had a ache in my elbow for a few months, which felt much better just after one session. I going to go back for more next week. Definitely would recommend it to anyone who needs quick results. It only takes 3 mins of your time.

I had an infrared sauna appointment and it was really great; I highly recommend it! The sauna is in a private room with its own shower, all sparkling clean. You can plug into Bluetooth speakers and play whatever music you like. They provide water, towels, etc. Everyone who works there is very friendly too!

It was a great experience! I’ve only had 2 sessions but my foot is already feeling much better. I really recommend coming to londkncryo if you are experiencing any pain. It’s a great way to heal your body!

My boyfriend and I had the cryotherapy for the first time today. Jurga was so supportive and was able to talk us through the process, she was so pleasant and was able to answer all our question. She made the experience worthwhile plus the center was so classic!
